I love Places and Spaces! I have been sending my daughter to this center ever for two years. It is exactly what the description says- nurturing, quality, affordable child care. The owner, Fatima, genuinely cares about the children. She organizes semi-annual parent meetings, maintains a great green playground behind the building, and manages a caring staff. She is active in the childcare community and allows her staff to complete professional development. With only 25 students, it's a truly diverse school- we've got white kids, black kids, Indian kids, Arabic kids, ESL students, you name it! It's not the type of place where you add three "ethnic" children to an all white school and then get to call it diverse. It's by the Overbrook train station on City Ave, so it's easy to drop off my daughter and then commute to work. I head downtown while my wife drives out to the Main Line. My daughter walked early, talked early, learned her letters early, is potty training early... genius baby or beneficiary of the Places and Spaces learning curriculum? This places is wonderful, truly a hidden gem. Quality education. Affordable tuition. I couldn't love it more. Feel free to contact me: ngw26[at]drexel.edu
