Noncompliance Area: At the time of renewal inspection, a policy and procedure to identify the potential signs and symptoms of baby shaken syndrome and abusive head trauma, strategies for coping with a crying, fussing, or distraught child, and the prevention and identification of child maltreatment was not observed. In addition, the emergency plan did not contain a statement regarding continuity of operations in the event of an emergency that includes backing up or retrieving health and other key records/files and managing financial issues such as paying employees and bills during the aftermath of the disaster. Conditions at the facility may not pose a threat to the health or safety of the children.

Correction Required: Staff persons shall complete professional development within 90 days of hire as listed in subsections (f)1-10. Staff person #1, #3 and #4 will have until 01/2/2023 to complete the required training.
