About the Provider

Description: Knowledge is power and motivated children love to learn. Let us help you give your child a BOOST in learning! BOOST– Best Out of School Time – offers an array of fantastic programs to children and teens. BOOST serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade 5 before school (from 7:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.) and after school (3:10 p.m. - 5:50 p.m.), Monday through Friday. BOOST programs include homework assistance, recreation, arts and crafts, certified after school/camp program curriculum, computer lab, field trips and more. Families enrolled in this program may access the subsidy system to receive assistance in covering the fee. BOOST is located within the following schools: Anderson, Bryant, Hopkinson, Clara Barton, Finletter, Forrest, Loesche, Mayfair, and Overbrook Elementary. To register, drop off the application and payment at your selected BOOST site, or mail it to: Lutheran Children and Family Service, Attn: BOOST 5401 Rising Sun Ave., Philadelphia Pa. 19120 (See applications posted on the right side of this page). The BOOST Middle School programs located at Anderson, Bryant, Hopkinson and Ethel Allen Middle School also serve 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, Monday through Friday, from 3:10 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Students involved in our program focus on entrepreneurial skills and participate in various clubs (See application posted on the right side of this page). This is a good program that is affordable to the parents but they lack in professionalism and quality care. My experience with the boost program has not been good. i have been harassed on several occasions by a particular staff member Maria. She insulted me through formulation of her personal opinion and consistently holding a sort of resentment that I can not comprehend. They also refuse to fully help my child with his homework, which is part of services that they proclaim to provide.
