| Operator did not provide a physically safe and healthy indoor and outdoor environment that meets the developmental needs of the children in care. In the fenced area used for the outdoor play environment, a small section of fencing had become removed, creating a diagonal space measuring from 4 inches to 6 inches, which poses a potential entrapment hazard. Two tricycles were observed to be rusting. Ms. Bridges stated that she has new tricycles that will replace those on the playground; however, she is planning to have covered storage in place for these items first. A white stretch of plastic lattice lining the underside of the home was observed to be cracked and sharp to the touch in one area. Ms. Bridges covered this area with heavy tape during the visit. Three storage sheds are located within the outdoor play area; along the right base of the middle shed, two boards were observed which had become partially detached from the shed and had four protruding nails observable and sharp to the touch. One individual pump of hand sanitizer and one canister of Clorox wipes was observed on a table less than five feet from the ground in the indoor porch. Ms. Bridges made each of these items inaccessible to children during my visit. One can of aerosol fabric sanitizer was observed less than five feet from the ground and in unlocked storage on a kitchen ledge. One kitchen sanitizing spray and five bottles of laundry detergent labeled Keep Out of Reach of Children with Additional Warnings were observed in unlocked storage. Ms. Bridges placed each of these items into locked storage during the visit. | |||
