This is an awesome place for anyone that loves their children to attend. I have read the reviews and I don't understand how people are allowed to make reviews without accountability. They are not accurate!!! Ms. Brown and her staff are professional, loving and always provide A plus service. My children love all the teachers. My kids have been at this center since in the infant room. I have twins and what a blessing they have been for me and my family.
My son had started this week in the NC Pre-k Classroom at this daycare, because of his dietary needs that I had mentioned, I unknowingly 'opted out' of the food program. I NEVER SIGNED A WAIVER TO BE OPTED OUT. I was completely unaware of this, I had sent his breakfast, lunch and snack but no drink...thinking at least a juice/milk would be provided.Even though he had access to a water fountain down the hall, He was not provided a drink at meal times by the school/teacher. THIS HAPPENED FOR 3 DAYS! Until my son told me about it and I had to bring it to the administrations attention. Today, I had sent two boxes of juice for him since he had mentioned he hadn't had a drink with his meals. I went to speak to the owner, she was very cordial to me, pulled my son from their care, came home to find that he had not gotten a juice box. I was told it was because it wasn't labeled for 'BREAKFAST' and at this point with I had been already communicating with the owner of this facility and he had received a cup of water just this morning with his breakfast. The lack of common sense and judgement is why I have now removed my son from the NC Pre-K program and this facility and would not recommend placement here.
The owner Loleta is very rude , greedy, and unprofessional. I took my child out of this establishment after months of dealing with her nasty attitude and went else where. Not to mention that if you are late just a few minutes of dropping your child off she won’t allow the lunch lady to supply breakfast for your children. I honestly don’t understand why she’s in the child care industry with such a disgusting dark demeanor. I feel sympathy for the way she treats some of her employees, seen it with my own eyes. Loleta is just a disgusting individual.

I have been employed at this center for 6 years. I am really surprised to see the lies that are posted about Loleta Brown and this center. It is unfortunate that anyone can make false statements and not be held accountable for their comments. It really looks more like slander and decimation of character. Over the past 6 years Ms Brown and her father have run a top notch facility! She is kind, compassionate and definitely there for the children and families! She is very generous when it comes to giving but effective and straight by the book when it comes to business. They have the love of Jesus in their heart and spirit and it shows in the live care and compassion they show when running the business. Kids First is an awesome place to work and we truly love all children.
This is the worst place i ever worked. The owner do not stand behind her staff at all. The staff there are worked like dogs and under paid. Teachers appreciation week she gave her teachers nothing and the parents are not allowed to either. I feel like that is so wrong those are really good teacher (the teachers thats left) they are really good with the children and they need to be appreciated. The owner will take money out of their checks for up keep of the building who does that. No benefits or anything. The co owner which is Loletas father is really rude he will look at you and turn his nose up and will not speack so unprofessional. They are very greedy and want all the money for themselves, who runs a business like that. I will never work for her again. The supplies are limited but the teachers do a good job with what they have. I just think its so wrong. Loleta herself is very rude as if somebody owe her something. Don't work here period! Then she pull her teachers out of the classrooom to sell her ebay items in the hot sun my god this lady is crazy! Worst working experience ever! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not want to visit the school after speaking with the owner, Loleta. When she answered the phone I knew at that moment that the school was not a good choice for my child. She was very rude and unprofessional. I like to give everyone a chance so I proceeded with the conversation. Before I could tell her when I would like my child enrolled she immediately informed me that there were no availabilities for my child’s age group. The business does not even have a website. I would not recommend this to anyone.
This was the worst experience that I ever had dealing with a daycare. After I was told that there was an opening in the four year old room, I was given the run around. This happened for three weeks. The owner Loleta Brown was never around and never returned my calls. I stopped by several times and made plenty of phone calls. The last time that I went in, the front desk person didn't even establish eye contact with me. For this to be a five star daycare, I was very disappointed. This place was so unprofessional and they didn't care about what it was costing me to take my daughter over an hour away ever day to my parents house after I spent my time getting their paper work filled out. Please don't waste you time, like I did.
My previous daycare closed unexpectedly and thank God it did! My child is flourishing at this facility. He can count to 100, he knows how to write all of his letters, he knows how to spell his first and last name as well his days of the week. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone. Ms. Loleta and her staff are top notch!
Being the parent of a 17 year old and a 3 year old I have had my share of experience with day care centers and this one has been the absolute BEST! My 3 year old is speaking two languages, knows the days of the week, his numbers, colors and the list goes on. Needless to say he has learned all of this at Kids First and he LOVES it. This place exceeds my expectations in childcare. He has been in two other centers and they were more expensive and the quality of care was not the best. I must say my husband and I are both totally satisfied with the services at Kids First!
Both my daughters have been attending Kids First since shortly after they opened. Everyone who works there is excetionally friendly and every teacher seems to know all the kids names, whether they are in their class or not. I have never had any concerns about leaving my kids there and they both love attending. The owner, Ms. Loleta, is fabulous and very personable. There were few (very minor) concerns that I had in the beginning, that I feel would be typical in any brand new center, but they were quickly resolved and Loleta puts a lot of effort into continued improvements and it is evident that a lot of money goes back into the center to keep improving. Highly recommend!
