Description: Flat Rock Elementary gets its name from the North Carolina Granite Quarry which is the largest open face granite quarry in the world. Our location is East of Mount Airy, North Carolina on Highway 103. Mount Airy is affectionately known as the home of Andy Griffith and the creative birthplace of his Mayberry characters. The ambiance of small-town America surrounds Flat Rock Elementary and imparts a feeling of belonging to each of our students.
Flat Rock is a Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade school that provides a quality education to approximately 360 students. Our goal is to offer a nurturing and safe environment where all children can grow and excel.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed.
