I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I would never recommend sending your child to this school. My child was mistreated and blamed for teachers quitting. However, once I pulled my child out of that pit, he was fine. This company will never take responsibility for its actions and negligence. The owner is extremely misleading and the director is extremely unprofessional in the way she runs Vasaio. I think the only positive thing I have to say is the decor is wonderful. But what happens when parents leave is another story. The turnover rate for teachers is unbelievable and my child never had the same teacher and was pushed into inappropriate, illegal ratios. My child was injured and I didn't even get notified and when I came to pick my child up and saw the injury, no one knew how it happened.

I am an employee

I worked at Vasaio Atelier, formerly known as Heritage Christian Academy for almost 3 months, and I hate to say it but this place is dirty and awful. If you are looking for a place with aesthetically pleasing decor this is the place for you. If you are looking for a clean facility, and qualified teachers this is not the place for you. When I first started in the baby room there was food caked all over the floors, nails sticking out of the toy shelf, and loose electrical sockets. I would actually see babies playing with the sockets. The whole feeling of the way the place is ran is more like teenagers babysitting kids instead of early childhood education. Lunch is prepared at Wild Poppy and brought to Vasaio at random times. Sometimes the babies would be so hungry and tired they would scream themselves to sleep before lunch even arrived. There are no set rules and regulations, or a clear guidelines for the employees. No one knows what is expected of them and from what it seems expectations vary from person to person. They claim they are a Reggio School but If you ask the teachers what Reggio is I'll bet majority of them couldn't tell you. The looks of this place are definitely deceiving. Be careful sending you kids here. Especially your babies.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

As with the other view, I would not recommend. It started out great and declined from there. Received an email laundry list of "issues" from the owner stating my kids caused nervous breakdowns and teachers quit because of them. No prior issues communicated to me. Based on what I've been hearing, we are not the only ones with issues.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Highly disappointed in this school. It started off so wonderful has a lot to offer but amazingly it started to decline and my daughter was mistreated and my husband and I were insulted by the owner of the school! A few examples of what we went through was No naps for a 3-4 year old, no daily sheet to know what our child ate or did, the ciriculum slowly disappeared as well as other promises That were made upon it's opening, our daughter started acting out with the owner and we were told she did not have time to help or teach her because of her "horrible" actions.our daughter was taken to the office and recorded on an iPad interrogation style while her dad and I were on a work trip and our parents were called to pick her up since she was busy. Our mom was forced to listen to this recording. Our daughter was so frightened and upset she had a hard time adjusting to trust her new teachers. We , as parents are highly disgusted and disappointed. Also very unprofessional that the entire family works at the school and they have lost 3-4 teachers and we got no explanation as to why our daughter kept losing teachers. So consistency in her care. A punishment my daughter also endured was being moved to a little kid room until they felt she could come back so she was moved up and down multiple times. Unacceptable!!!!! Everyone really needs to watch it when choosing hca do not let anyone fool you!

My nieces and nephews attend this school. It is simply awesome. I watch their activities on FB daily. Unfortunately, I live too far away to bring my daughter here, although we have had an occasion to visit during pickups. It's friendly, fun and my daughter always begs to stay. Tons of action and excitement every time I have been there.

Common questions

The answers people ask us for most often.

How do I contact a provider I found here?

In most cases the provider’s direct number is included in their listing. When it is not, we list the number of the Child Care Licensing Program — you may call that number for more information, or search for the provider online.

Will ChildcareCenter pass a message on to a provider for me?

No. ChildcareCenter only provides information, so enrolment questions, tuition questions and job enquiries need to go to the provider directly using the contact details on their listing. We cannot forward them and we cannot share contact details a provider has not published.

I run a daycare — how do I correct or remove my listing?

Use suggest an update on your listing to correct any detail, or claim the listing to manage it yourself. If you have closed or no longer provide care, contact us and we will update the listing to show that.
