The Kid Zone Enrichment Program is a dynamic community response to changing lifestyles and needs of families in Tempe, Arizona. Our goal is to address the increased number of children needing a safe, enriching place to be in out-of-school time. Kid Zone operates both before and after school programs at 19 Tempe and Kyrene Schools. Our program is for children in the grades K-5 at 15 of our schools and K-8 at 3 of our schools (Curry, Rover, Ward). We also offer a Pre-School Program for 2 year olds - Pre-K's.

Initial Comments: The following deficiencies were observed at the time of the Compliance Inspection conducted on 10/18/2024 and are subject to changes pending programmatic review. Please submit the Plan of Corrections via the LMS portal within 10 days. ***Please submit a current violation-free fire inspection as soon as possible. ***The Director was reminded of the license expiration date and to log on to the portal to pay the fees prior to the license expiring. 4 of 4 Fingerprint Clearance cards reviewed were valid via the DPS website search. The Empower self-evaluation was completed at the time of the inspection. The Emergency Disaster Plan update form was completed at the time of the inspection. The DES Group Size requirements were observed to be compliant at the time of the inspection. The following was discussed but not limited to: 1. Ensure a morning daily schedule is posted. 2. Ensure cleaning supplies are inaccessible to children. 3. Ensure the caulking around toilets and sinks in toilet rooms are clean and free from cracks. Compliance Officer is Tricia Tartaglio

Initial Comments: The following deficiencies were found at the time of the Compliance Inspection conducted on 10/10/2023, and are subject to changes pending programmatic review. Name of Compliance Officer: Jennifer Flicker The Written Documentation is required to be submitted through the Licensing Portal within 10 days of the receipt of the Statement of Deficiencies. There were 2 staff files reviewed. 2 of the 2 fingerprint clearance cards were verified to be valid through the DPS website. The Empower Survey link was sent to the Director during the inspection.
