| Findings: Individual Regularly On-Site Without Proper Clearances, Inappropriate Behavior & Discipline Management Practices. There were concerns that this provider is consistently over ratios, "knuckles" children on the head, and that there is an individual regularly on the premise without a background check. The health department confirmed that a staff member is regularly on the premise and transports children to school without a DHW background check. Additionally, the provider admitted to using her knuckles on a child's head as a form of behavior & discipline management. Resolution: The staff member without proper clearances was told they could not return to the facility without proper clearances. The provider shared that the "knucking" was a previous issue and has made an effort to stop the habit. The provider has agreed to work with IdahoSTARS staff to develop an updated discipline & behavior policy. | |||
