There was a parent report on file that we thought was the physician report because it was from the PA Dept of Health and it was in Spanish. When we realized it wasn't the actual physical report, we contacted the physician's office and received page 2, which made it the full report. It really was a physical, it was missing page 2. And the following day, the doctor's office completed our form as well, to cover

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

The best thing this place did was get the old director out and put the assistant in charge. The old director did not belong in a place with children as she did not care about their wants and needs. I think she is still with the company because I still see her from time to time, but maybe somewhere else where she is a better fit. My son loves his teachers and his friends at this center, but it was not an overall great experience until recently. Smart moves have been made and I can only see it getting better.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

The pre school and infant staff r loving and caring however inexperienced and poorly managed by the director. Shelley the director is rude, condescending and unprofessional. No compassion for children , no ability to respect privacy of a child's information or parents. Many times we had issues w the director because of lack of communication, rude comments or put downs about our child our parenting etc. I had my children there due to custody arrangement and as soon as I could I moved them and am glad I did. It's unfortunate the leader is of such poor quality because there are some very eager and loving people working at leap and learn. Despite the poor leadership, it is a very clean facility. They do a poor job of managing letting parenting in and out , sometimes I waited at the door and watched the staff go back and forth about who was going to be unconvinced to come open the door , mean while I am standing there with my infant, my four year old and all their belongings in my hands waiting. Very annoying and unprofessional.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

This child care faculty should not be allowed to take care of 6 week old children. The staff is overwhelmed and inexperienced. They do not offer the individual attention small infants need. They do not abide by feeding schedules and do what is convenient to them even when it's doctor's orders. I withdrew my daughter after multiple incidents with lack of care and injury. I personally wouldn't take any child here that is younger than 6 months and has no medical issues.

Reading through the reviews I can clearly recognize true reviews from rants of angry parents. Staff truly care for these kids and go above and beyond the job descriptions.

To users like "Who Cares" - remember these people are being paid way below what they deserve and they work in certain ratios. So yes, if your child has behavior problems or require a one-on-one setting then this may not be the location for you. They also need to keep in mind the needs of ALL the children...so if your child is extremely disruptive, disrespectful, and physical with other children *cough cough "Who Cares"...then maybe you should look elsewhere.

Lack of imagination for everyone in this daycare. Shame on you for thinking you are better than anyone else. I agree with the negative reviews, they don't help children that clearly need help instead they criticze the children and parents.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son was at this facility since he was 12 weeks old. Hind sight is 20/20,especially when you are a new mom, little issues with staff and not being notified by staff of issues right away. Being pulled into an office and being talked down to about how we need to make sure we feed our child, and the staff is there to assist and not do all of the work. Not professional. Please save yourself the headache, spend a little more money for better quality care and compassion.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We found the staff to be very attentive and are dedicated to making sure each child is learning and growing. There are parent teacher conferences and the facility is always clean and well presented. The children have all sorts of activities based on their age level and what needs development at that age level. So far, we have been very pleased and would recommend it to others.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Reading the reviews, you would think that this place was not suitable for your children, but that is not the case. To blatantly direct anger towards an individual (such as the head director), shows poor character and judgment. The daycare is inexpensive and run by a low budget because of it. Complaints should be made about the company, and not the staff slaving to keep it afloat. I have been nothing but happy with the staff and the care of my children. The directors are awesome and they are also overworked and underpaid; it is not just the staff. Rather than vent on an online forum, my fellow commenters should contact the YMCA and see what they can do to help improve the working conditions and maybe the moral may improve with the staff. #mykidsareleapinandlearnin

Please don't take your children to this daycare! The staff, although some are great and try very hard, are burnt out. They are under paid and over worked and have a director and assistant director who don't care. I have personally seen the director walk past crying children and not even try to help when staff is clearly overwhelmed. The director has no patience for children. This is one of the cheapest daycares around and there is a reason why!! Please don't take your kids here they have a record of losing kids and even had a situation where a staff member nearly dislocated a child's wrist!

As much as I tried to believe the best about this facility, I could no longer stomach taking my child to the center. The new Staff Director and Lead Teacher are extremely rude and totally lack compassion. I was let in the facility by them multiple times and they barely say a word. Whenever they need to talk to you, expect a formal typed letter with no verbal follow up. I have seen the Staff Director come in rooms and walk past crying children and sit down somewhere else in the room and stare straight ahead, not batting an eye at the cries of the kids. I have also been awkwardly present when she repremanded a parent about the behavior of their child. Talk about inappropriate and unprofessional. At one point my child needed to be picked up early because they got sick. The Head teacher promptly handed me a bunch of paperwork and told me not to bring my child back until they were symptom free, period. Not a single caring word like "I hope they feel better" or "I'm sorry they aren't feeling well". It's very disturbing and clearly all business there. Children and parents are not valued or addressed with any sense of compassion or dignity. The owner should be advised of what is going on in their facility. The YMCA should be ashamed. They are known to be a compassionate Christian organization, but they are employing a Head Director and Lead Teacher that are far from living up to that standard. I would give zero stars if I could based on management. The only reason I kept my child there for long was because of the sweet Assistant Director and loving young staff. It's unfortunate that they need to work for such bitter people. The community of Fleetwood deserves better.

My infant started going there a few weeks ago and it was great. We both loved the head teacher. The head teacher has since left and everything has gone down hill. Last time my child was there, I was told to "put him in a chair" when I dropped him off. Nobody even said hello to him. When I picked him up, just a few hours later because I felt a little uneasy about leaving him there, he was in the same chair and had poop in his diaper. The one "teacher" changed his diaper while I gathered his stuff. When I got home, I changed his diaper again only to find that he was not wiped properly. I decided to not take him back.

My daughter loves it here! The staff is great, friendly and have a genuine love of children you can feel when you walk in the door. Im a singe mom working an off shift. The entire staff including the director have been very helpful and understanding of my schedule. This center is a blessing. I recommende this program to my brother and he found one close to his home.

This is the worst day care center I have ever seen in my life. Some of the staff are good but the directors are extremely rude, lack compassion and child care skills and completely refuse to work with parents. Even if child care is provided for free, I will never advise anyone to send their children in this daycare.

Very poor management. The director is immature and apathetic. Clearly shows a lack of child care skills and knowledge of child development. Staff concerns and needs fall on deaf ears. The director is a product of equally poor management all the way up. The YMCA should be embarrassed as an organization. Some of the teachers are amazing, but overworked and under appreciated. There is a high staff turnover and many are young with no experience. The center is on its second provisional licence for losing children. DO NOT bring your children to this center.

Some of the staff here are great, but management is terrible. Employee's are treated unfairly and it shows. The center is on a provisional license with DPW because they lost two kids within one year. They have assistant teachers running rooms without head teachers all the time. (saving money?) The staff is always changing.
