2022-11-03 Violation 428 GS 110-91(12); .0508(a)
A current activity plan was not posted for each group of children for reference. In both classrooms that were reportedly used Space 1 and Space 3 there were activity plans, but they were dated for the previous week. During the visit the plans were located and posted.
2022-11-03 Violation 465 GS 110-91(12); .0510(a)
Four of the five activity area(s): art/creative play, children's books, blocks/block building, manipulatives, family living/dramatic play was not available daily. Children ages 2.5 to 4 years of age were in Space 1 that is set up for toddler children. There are no centers areas, just toddler toys. The teacher reported that they were in the front classroom and played there when there were not as many children present. I observed them playing in this area when they rose from nap. This is a repeat violation.
2022-11-03 Violation 468 .0510(d)(1)
When three year old children and older were in care, the materials and equipment in the activity area was not in sufficient quantity to allow at least three children to use the area regardless of whether the children choose the same or different activities. In the classroom space number 3 there were centers set up for the children, but the Creative Dramatics/Home Living Center had only dress up which would allow for three children to play with the materials. There were other random items none of which met the requirements for an activity that three children could play with at one time. This is a repeat violation.

In Space 1, where the two and three year old children were located, there were only infant and toddler materials as it previously was an classroom for younger children.

Ducklings is the perfect home away from home.  They welcome each and every child with open arms and ensure a safe and loving environment throughout the day.  I have several children who have been involved in child care and Ducklings by far is the best.  I love that the center is small enough to know every child and each teacher knows each childs personality and behaviors.  Truly the best experience for any family..
