I have used this provider for more than 6 months
The owner/director discriminates against families and employees! She is very judge mental, rude and snobby!!
I am very happy to have found Buds of Promise. The staff is friendly and the director sticks to high standards of care but is accomodating as well. They serve healthy lunches and snacks and encourage the children to explore a variety of topics.
Buds is the next best thing to being a stay at home mom. Both of my children went to Buds of Promise, Two of my dearest friends had their children there and then I found out that my daughter's teacher has her children there. The hours there are great, I believe it was 6/7am-5pm. They take the kids outside everyday to play on their playground when the weather is nice and when the weather is bad or it is cold outside, they have a big gymnasium where the kids can run around and get their energy out. They have a structured class room setting for 3-5 yr olds so that they are ready for Kindergarten. The children also enjoyed visits from the Library Systems "Book Buggy" in which the children could pick out books to read while at Buds. The staff is great and Miss Janice, the Director is the best. She is so caring and deeply cares about every single child that walks through the door. Buds will also take the children on small walks that included walks to see the horses at Wilson college as well as mini field trips to Menno Haven where the kids bring joy to the elderly for the day. They will hold water days during the hot summer months that allow the kids to get a chance to be cool during those hot days. In the spring they will hold an Easter Egg hunt for the kids, Buds holds small graduations for kids going into Kindergarten during their annual summer picnic for families. They will occasionally hold fun outings in which you can participate in outside of normal business hours. The staff at Buds treated my children at Buds like they were their own and I can't ask for more than that when you have to make the decision to leave your child in the hands of someone else. My children made so many friends at Buds, they looked forward to going there everyday.
Buds provides your child with Breakfast, Lunch and snacks, They encourage teeth brushing after meals and hand washing at every bathroom break and before meals. The only thing you provide is their tooth brush, tooth paste, change of clothes in case an accident and for younger children, diapers and wipes. Oh, and sunblock for those hot summer days. They even care about UV Rays. This place is great
