Description: Welcome to Tender Care Learning Centers - where the foundation of a lifetime love of learning is set. At Tender Care we provide children with a safe, nurturing and educationally support environment here in Pittsburgh. Day care is not a word that we use to describe our centers. We offer child care and preschool programs designed with the complete picture of a child in mind - to support them emotionally, educationally and socially.

I would not recommend Tender Care to anyone searching for a job. There is clear favoritism of the staff members and their access to materials and resources. First of all, they have a lot of children enrolled with "special needs" and behavior problems. The ratio in a classroom can be up to 15 children per one adult. There is no support from management if you need help in certain areas. They'd rather stick their newly hired employees into the classroom with barely any training. If you have specific learning needs and need extra help, forget it! They won't help you in anyway. If you need accommodations, then forget that because the director will drag in the cooperate office. They would rather watch you fail than see you succeed. It’s hard to get a consistent lunch schedule. One day would be eating lunch at 11:30 and another day you’ll be the last one eating your lunch (2:00). Asking to leave early can be a pain in the behind, as management always wants to give you attitude. Their typical response is sorry we are not able to process your request. The Clock out times would be different every day, even if you worked full-time and clocked in at the same time every day. They’d get you out at 4:00 on one day and make you stay until 6:00 another day. They do not evenly split their time amongst their employees. One person could be working less hours and another person could be working more hours, it's not evenly split, they don't take into consideration who worked what days, stayed and did the opening and or closing, and split that time up amongst their employees. At all cost if you are looking for work in Childcare, I would avoid Tender Care Learning Centers. They set their employees up for failure and they don't mind if they have to fire employees from time to time. This place is a no go for employment.
