Provider Response: (Contact the State Licensing Office for more information.) 1.) State Mandated Ratios are maintained in each classroom at all times. These ratios are posted in each classroom and the staff have been trained on the maximum staff to child ratios allowed. This situation was a "perfect storm" of 4 staff members calling in sick and 1 staff member being late due to traffic. Staff was shifted with the infant rooms being priority. All other 7 rooms were in ratio compliance. The Pre-K room was compliant as soon as the late staff member arrived at 9:13am. This date of correction is 5/12/25. 2. A policy is already in place regarding ratios as per our previous renewal inspection requirements. This policy will remain in place and is also posted in every classroom as required by previous inspection. We will continue to monitor classroom staffing and ratios. We will continue to train new staff and review with current staff the ratios. We are in the process of hiring additional staff to allow for more cushion in call outs. In the future we will have no choice but close the understaffed room or turn children away. Written policy will be updated to include either turn children away or keep parents at the facility until extra staff arrive. Staff will be re-trained on additional updated policy. This date of correction will be 6/6/25. |
