It is the mission of Sunderland Elementary School to ensure that each student will have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of the learning process, acquire and apply knowledge, participate in the fine arts, realize a sense of physical well-being, and develop skills which will enable him/her to become a well-adjusted,productive citizen.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

Findings: During inspection today, there were 27 children present. The regulation requires there to be 1 adult for every 20 children present with current, approved first aid and CPR training. The Director has current, approved first aid and CPR training, but the school age teacher does not. The course the school age teacher completed is an online only course, which is not approved by the Office of Child Care. With the number of children present during inspection today, this caused the program to be out of compliance with this regulation. Director stated school age teacher is scheduled to take an approved training next week. Once training is completed, please send copies of cards to Licensing Specialist.

Findings: Lic Spec observed attendance check sheet provided by CCPS and sign in/out sheet that staff keep separately. Children who were in attendance in the AM were not signed out of the child care program. When children leave the program for clubs, activities or for the day, they should be signed out by the child care staff, as staff are then relinquishing supervision of the children to the school. Director stated staff would be sure to complete the sign in and out sheets to adequately reflect children's whereabouts at all times. Please send copies to Lic Spec.

Findings: The medication administration forms on file for 2 children are over a year old. Authorized medication administration forms should be completed once a year. If these children are going to have medication at the center, please obtain new medication administration forms from parent/guardian and send copies to Lic Spec. |
