Description: The mission of Open Arms Academy is to enrich children's daily experiences through various activities guided by trained, sensitive and caring teachers. The center's program is designed to give children the opportunity to explore to their satisfaction -- art materials, music, dramatic play, educational materials and play equipment. We strive toward developing a positive self-image in each child and accept every child and family with OPEN ARMS.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

Hands-down the most impressive preschool in the downtown area! Convenient to downtown office buildings and the Wilmington/Christiana Hospital. Open Arms Academy on Jefferson Street and adjacent to Hanover Presbyterian Church on Baynard Boulevard has every imaginable tool necessary to prepare your child for school! The caring and contentious staff here have it all-together and should be commended for their one-on-one interaction with the children. I challenge anyone to go in for a tour of this center and not come out impressed with what they have to offer! Kudos to Ms. Kathy and her team of teachers!
