This was discussed at the time of the visit and the center agreed to comply.

Corrective Action: On November 13, 2019, the center reported that a child received a serious injury on November 7, 2019, and the center did not document their attempt to contact the parent or emergency contact. When serious injuries occur, ensure the parent/guardian is notified immediately and center documents when the parent/guardian was informed or when calls were made to the parent/guardian or emergency contact but no one answered. This was discussed with Owner Mary Bateman via telephone on November 26, 2019, and the center agreed to comply.

Corrective Action: On November 13, 2019, the center reported the parent contact information in a child's file was not current and information related to the injury of a child was shared with a person not listed as an emergency contact. Ensure child file information is kept current and a child's information is not shared without written permission from the parent/guardian to do so. The child file information, that was not current, was corrected when the child disenrolled on November 14, 2019. The staff member who reported sharing information related to the injury of a child, with a person not listed as an emergency contact, must take the two-hour training; Ethics: A Guide for Professional Behavior, which can be found on the Better Kid Care website and submit documentation to OCCL by December 20, 2019.

Clean the wall behind the trash can in the toddler classroom.
