E.J.'s strives to nourish and cultivate children¿s creative, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. At E.J.¿s, children will be encouraged to engage, inquire, create, discuss, and enjoy being a child! We believe in learning through exploration in an environment that is safe, kind, compassionate and where children are inspired by their teachers. We have created a special place where children's individuality and self-worth are nurtured and valued. Children have a wonderful, natural desire to learn, especially in their early years of life, and we facilitate that desire with a play-based, child-centered and teacher supported program. It is our intention to provide children diverse and hands-on concrete experiences which enrich and honor the "whole child." We offer an open-ended, choice-oriented program with a wide range of experiences enabling children to grow in all areas; to learn how to learn, and to become self-sufficient in practical life situations. All children go through a sequence of developmental stages at individual rates. We are committed to respecting this process. We value each child's individual gifts and abilities. Our program is completely dedicated to children and their individual needs. As teachers, it is our responsibility to understand the children in our care on a deep level, and be willing to create learning environments that support their individual needs. Some of the tools we use to gain this knowledge are DISC temperament style profiles, multiple intelligence screenings, nurturance style screenings (love languages), detailed observation of children using Teaching Strategies Gold, and individual child profiles. We understand that our role is instrumental in helping to lay the building blocks for your child's future learning and success in life. We take this role very seriously.
