My child attended the three year old room for over a year. There were three teachers that oversaw the class. One was caring, nurturing and wonderful. One was middle of the road and one was unacceptable. When you notice your three year old "playing" teacher and yelling at their dolls about "being quiet", "you will respect me", and calling out kids for not sleeping, there is a problem. When you start going to Huckleberries and your child is in a different room and no one can tell you why. It's a problem. When you report the issues and remove your child and months later the teacher is still there, it is a problem.
The FIRST day at a new daycare when I picked my child up the first things out of their mouth was "daddy, I don't like Ms. $$$$$$$$ anymore. She always got in my face and was mean. She would take me from my friends and make me play alone and I don't know why"
Kids don't know what's happening at 3. They trust teachers to help them develop. To be ostracized and left alone by
a teacher and not understanding what you did or how to grow from it is heartbreaking. This all happened at Huckleberry and friends. There was no path to redemption, just an angry teacher.
This center is excellent! They have large classrooms, spacious playgrounds, home-cooked meals, and friendly, caring, and qualified staff members. They are also family owned and operated with their own children enrolled, so I take comfort knowing that the classrooms are operated with "Mommy" standards - far higher than state mandated requirements.
I highly recommend this center to anyone looking for childcare in the Garner area!!!
not very good staff members there i changed my mind when i went to visit and i know someone who was working there to my knowledge no training or credentials and from what i hear def not even a drug test and they have everythign hanging out must not be any type of dresscode for the teachers either very unprofessional
i would recommend this place to any parent looking for a great and fun place to bring your kid(s) the staff are very nice and experienced
