Findings: The pool house was unlocked and contained items labeled 'keep out of children's reach" , one of the poolside storage containers had pool chemical ( top taped shut) accessible to child care children if they were to access pool area. Pool house needs to remain locked at all times. The pool chemical can be relocated to the pool house to keep it inaccessible to children.

Findings: The pool fencing and gates were measured and multiple pictures were made. A copy of the measurements were left with the provider on Additional Comment page. There were some areas of the pool sides that measured over 4 feet tall. Discussed that any of the areas over 4 ft. tall were not required to have additional fencing. The main areas of concern are the self-closing, self-latching hardware that does not operate properly. There are padlocks for these latches; however , they were not in use at time of inspection. There are boards and additional fencing onsite that will be used for repairs. Provider plans to have appropriate hardware installed by the weekend. Provider will share pool fence measurements w/ her brother who will be adding additional fencing. A copy of the Barriers to Protect Children from Life-Threatening Safety Hazard policy was left for reference. Please have brother contact specialist with any questions. The trash can is at the end of the patio which places the provider out of site of the child care children.
