Description: San Tan Elementary School is a community school in the Higley Unified School District serving neighborhood kindergarten through sixth grade students. We provide a challenging and supportive learning environment to ensure student achievement for each and every student. Our curriculum is relevant and engages students in discovery science, current events, hands-on mathematics and the full breadth of academics, as well as physical education, art and music.

Staff #2 had no roster out on the playground while supervising the 19 children and Staff #1 had the original roster in the classroom which noted all the children signed into the program; not just the 2 children in that room.

Staff #1 was making copies in another area of the campus and came into the room a few minutes later; resulting in 1 over the required staff to child ratio for the school-age age group.
