Description: University Child Development Center has three convenient locations. Our first opened in 1988 in the University City area. We opened our second location in Huntersville/Northcross in 1993. We opened our third location in 2001 in Highland Creek and we couldn't be more proud of all three.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

It's unfortunate that the director has been pressuring staff members to write positive reviews about the company (look at the dates from June 16th up until present) This is one center that has a high turnover teacher rate due to the disrespect by the director. The director talks to certain employees like they are kids, she either sends inappropriate text messages or tells the other office helpers to relate messages to certain employees that is very disrespectful. The director and front office staff always talk and gossip about people and tell people business. The food is the worst and sometimes not even cooked at its best. Not the best as far as cleaness. Read the state reviews before enrolling your child in this center not reviews from staff members thats trying to save their jobs. The best thing the owners can do is to replace ALL of the front desk ADMIN staff including the director.
My son is autism. He went to University Child Development Center. The PreK program sent him to another school because of his autism. He went back to University Child Development for the summer. They took him back. I am so happy. Some centers turned me down before he went back.
I used to work for University Child Development Center. I enjoyed working there. But some employees who had worked there for many years thought they ran the place. The Co-Director at the time was fair and tried very hard to run the center. But the Ladies she had working there did their job poorly. Otherwise, then that. I enjoyed working there. If I could return to work with her, I would go without them
My child had just started to attend this center so I will update my review if need be. Ms. Green was very patient with me explaining to me about the enrollment process and took great care of my child. My child';s teachers are great but I wish Ms. Green was a teacher too! My daughter loves her!
My toddler comes here and so far I have no complaints. They feed them well and offer me a menu to take home. Teachers are friendly but I do have to remind them sometimes to send me pictures/videos of my child doing activities because I miss him!
I’ve witnessed nothing but love with this place . The teachers love the kids and the kids love the teachers . I would recommend anyone to be apart of this family.
amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. the teachers really make an effort to engage with the kids and develop them in very individualised way. the management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and we're very thankful to have them
This daycare is amazing. I haven’t been here long but I felt welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. The director Ms. Tinsley is Great. I have nothing bad to say what so ever.
I love working at this center everything is on point down from the staff to the kids. I would refer anyone to this center. Ms Tinsley is the best director ever!
I had five kids here at UCDC before COVID. I lost my job and had to stay home. I appreciate the staff at UCDC so much after staying home with my kids—the patience they had with them. Now I am back at work. I notice most of the staff has changed. It is sad how things have changed. But I still think this is a great center. My children love it there. As long as I know they are treated with kindness I will keep them at UCDC-Exec PK.
My child has been attending this facility for about a year now. No childcare’s are perfect because not everybody is the same. What I can say is that when problems do occur, there is always a solution. The staff there is mostly understanding and from what I can tell for my child’s teacher, they are caring. My child loves coming to school.
My child started with this center when he was six weeks old. He is now 2 years old. They have potty-trained him. He started walking early and he talks very well. He has had a change in teachers. Over the last two years. I believe this has a lot to do with Covid. I believe the management there is what keeps things going well. As long as it continues, I will remain here.
