In Space 4 it was observed that one (1) child present under 15 months had transitioned into this class on June 05, 2023 and his infant feeding plan was stored in his cubby and in Space 5 it was observed that four (4) children under 15 months had infant feeding plans present but they were stored in their cubbies.

Electrical outlets and power strips, not in use, which were located in space used by children did not have safety outlets or were not covered with safety plugs unless located behind furniture or equipment that cannot be moved by a child. It was observed in the lobby that there was one (1) electrical outlet not covered with a safety plug when not in use present and a plugged in electrical power strip with four (4) electrical outlets not covered when not in use was also present.

Staff did not model appropriate eating behaviors by consuming food or beverages that meet the nutritional requirements specified in the Meal Patterns for Children in Child Care Programs in the presence of children in care. In Space 2 it was observed that there was a clear, plastic cup containing a dark colored drink from a fast food restaurant being stored on an open shelf on the wall. It was shared with Ms. Barnat that personal drinks should be stored in cups or bottles with a lid that are not see-through. It is the expectation that all staff model appropriate eating behaviors by consuming food or beverages that meet the nutritional requirements specified in the Meal Patterns for Children in Child Care Programs in the presence of children in care.

Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division.
