I am writing an update to inform parents and prospective families that from
August 29- September 7, 2022 there was an intensive follow-up investigation from the State of Colorado licensing. The following charges were issued to The Learning Experience Fort Collins. These charges are listed at Colorado Shines
The Learning Center Fort Collins and appear under Stage 2 investigations which is a follow-up to child abuse investigations by the county. The report outlines harsh treatment of children, administration/owner falsifying safety logs and training certificates, unqualified staff, classes out of ratio, unreported injuries to parents and to the state, staff sleeping while in the supervision of children, an infant left alone on a changing table, child jerked up by their wrists, and you can read the rest. Stay away from this place....
A child choked in the toddler room and nobody was cpr certified.
The toddler teacher left the room to get the Director and the child stopped breathing. The Director did back thrusts and did not call 911.
A child not walking was put in a toddler room and sustained a mouth injury. Another child got a very bad sunburn and was taken to the er for heat exhaustion. None of these were reported to licensing by the Director.
Child protection is involved and there is an investigation.
