Description: Respite Care, Inc. was founded as a non-profit organization in 1981, developed by parents who have children with developmental disabilities. These parents responded to their own needs, with a realization that other families were experiencing the same challenges. After a year of planning and preparation, Respite Care opened its doors in April 1982. The facility is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week for children ages birth to 21 years.
