This place should get negative stars. My 5 month old at the time was left unattended with a child that was older and well known for biting. He was bit twice in the face and once on the hand and multiple scratches to the face as well. I was not informed of how bad it was and was only told “he had gotten bit”. The director did not care and they only got a slap on the wrist. They do not care about your kids or their safety.
They also have a huge mosquito and fire ant problem. The kids have to be sprayed down daily to play outside and my daughter came home with fire ant bites as well as my 5 month old and huge welps from the mosquito bites. This is not a safe place for kids at all.
This place is shady, but especially when Heather Stovall is in charge. It’s all right here in the citations. It’s dangerous, children’s injuries aren’t treated properly, and the children are left unattended. On top of all that, Heather Stovall is a sociopath. We’ve dealt with her as a tyrannical GSA volunteer before. I wouldn’t leave my children here ever, for any reason.
my school age daughter and toddler daughter have been coming to this daycare for 3 years. they love the teachers, my school age enjoys the after school program. They are available for my school age daughter during record days, school holidays and etc. My youngest daughter loves her teacher and has really learned a lot. They keep the kids on a schedule, and take time to help each individual child, with their learning. They mak learning fun.
Sylvan Hills Learning Center is a child care facility and a preschool center. My friend asked me for help in seeking a preschool and care facility for her kids, so we looked and found this place. What we both liked about the place was the accessible location for dropping and picking up of children before and after work, plus the educational and care services of this facility. The kids are following a schedule of early education classes and activities. The tuition fees for preschool and fees for care services are not high. The literacy-rich engaging activities are very encouraging to kids. Children would come home daily happy to share what they did in preschool and daycare. Teachers and caregivers are caring and friendly but they also ensure that discipline is imposed to children so that they know that they are safe and valued, and that they learn more. There are teachers who are there to help students in making an assigned homework. My friend's kids are taught and helped by a certified early childhood education teacher. The learning environment and playgrounds are safe and conducive for learning. They have separate playgrounds for children based on their age group. Yes, it is true that preparing children early in life will help them do better in school. It is also true that preparing young children early to do better in school is rewarding for parents and children. It develops children to be whole and happy. It reinforces early development of confidence and other social and personal skills because the children discover that they can create; play, understand and learn to interact with other children, teachers and caregivers and they are all welcomed in the group. I would recommend Sylvan Hills Learning Center at Highway 107 to parents and their children.
I would highly recommend Sylvan Hills Learning Center INC, my son has been there for 3 years. He loves the teacher and the directors and they love him. It is such a blessing not to have to worry about him while I am at work. I would not put my son anywhere else. So if you want your little one taken care of like you take care of them, enroll them at Sylvan Hills Learning Center!
I moved my son from his previous daycare to this center and it was the worst thing I have ever done. My sons potty training has totally relapsed. He went from being nearly potty trained to not at all. There was always an excuse from the director and teachers. They are completely unprofessional. I picked up my son on the last day I could stand it and his stuff was all packed up as if they were ready for him to leave (keep in mind my son behaves like a normal three year old at times but he has a very sweet and laid back temperament. He is a very sweet and not hyper child) when I picked him up all the other kids had their paper in front of them with crayons and what not but he had nothing. He told me they made him sad and made him cry. I asked him what happened and he said it was his fault. I asked him what he did and he said "its my fault I can't learn"....... WHAT?!
So with his potty training issues they wrote on one of his papers to take home "We need pull ups for naptime. He is having accidents daily at np time an it is staining the carpet." yes.... you read that right..... STAINING THE CARPET. WHY WAS THAT NECESSARY???? "we need pull ups" would have sufficed. The money you save is not worth the headache or the mistreating of your children. Trust me.
Most regretted decision I've made concerning my child's care. I brought my son in one morning and they were feeding the children glazed donuts for breakfast. The director is very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It reaks of urine and uncleanliness. You get what you pay for. What you save in childcare costs will double in doctors bills. Just go somewhere else. Not worth your child's health and time.
A couple of teachers were good... only used for before and after school care, but would not recommend. 1) They did not buckle my child up in the van - the van driver knew the belt had fallen under the seat, but told them to sit back and be still. 2) They failed to pick my child up from school, because he was still in the school. They failed to call to verify where he was before driving off.
