All equipment and furnishings were not in good repair. A cabinet door has come unhinged in the room for twos. A basketball goal on the playground did not have a net.

All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not stored in a locked room or cabinet. A can of Lysol spray was stored in an unlocked cabinet in the room for two year old children.

Leftover medicines were not returned to the parent after the course of treatment was completed, after authorization was withdrawn or after authorization had expired and/or medication was not discarded within 72 hours of completion of treatment or withdrawal of authorization. Diaper cream was not returned to the family of a child no longer enrolled at the center. The diaper cream was discarded during this visit.

Caregivers did not document compliance with visually checking on sleeping infants aged 12 months or younger and/or the documents were not maintained for a minimum of one month. Documentation was not available verifying staff visually checked an infant during sleep during the month of February.

Vehicles used to transport children enrolled in the child care center did not comply with all applicable State and federal laws and regulations. The inspection for a vehicle used this morning to transport three school age children expired 9/2022.

All vehicles used to transport children were not free of hazards. A seatbelt in a vehicle used to transport school age children does not clasp.

Emergency and identifying information, including the child's name, photograph, emergency contact information and/or a copy of the emergency medical care information form was not in the vehicle for each child being transported. Emergency information was not in the vehicle for three school age children transported from the center to their elementary school this morning.

Before children were transported, written permission from a parent was not obtained that included when and where the child was to be transported, expected time of departure and arrival, and the transportation provider. Written permission to transport was not on file for a school-age child transported daily to and from school by the center. Permission for two siblings did not include where the children are transported and the time of departure and arrival.

For routine transport of children to and from the center, staff did not use the list to document attendance as children boarded and departed the vehicle. Times were not documented as children boarded and departed the vehicle when transported to and from school by the center.

The operator did not maintain the manufacturer's instructions on file electronically or in paper format for any outdoor play structures purchased or installed on or after September 1, 2017. Manufacturer's instructions were not on file for a new piece of playground equipment installed in January 2023.

Medication authorization, giving the caregiver standing authorization did not meet the specifications in rule. Medication authorization had expired for diaper cream for a child in the room for infants and the room for two-year-old children.

I feel that this is a great daycare. My 2 yr old did not like here previous daycare, she would scream and cry every morning for months. So I changed to the sushine house on polo rd. she has not cried since the first day she tells me all about her day and sings and dancing to the tunes they have taught her and even asked when am I going to my new school again......I am so happy
