Description: St. Matthias Apostle School, founded in 1961, welcomes students in preschool (age 4) through Grade 8 of all religious, racial and ethnic backgrounds. We are a coeducational Catholic school operating under the direction of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, DC and serve as a parish school to St. Matthias Apostle Catholic Church in Lanham, Maryland and Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchellville, Maryland.
The school provides an integrated education program of religion and strong academics leading to the development of the whole child. The school continually evaluates and upgrades its program in order to reaffirm its direction and goals. It seeks to strengthen its role in teaching the values of the Catholic Church.
