About the Provider

Here at Smart Start #4, we offer an excellent curriculum for infants thru Pre-K. We also are involved in the Lawton Public School Pre-K collaboration, by offering full day Pre-K. We strive to create a welcoming environment and are proud of our open door policy; where families can stop in any time and visit with their child or ask questions. Many of our teachers have been with us for over a year or more, so you can be sure that everyone at our center is committed to our families.

Substantiated Complaints
Plan: In the future, personnel will go to the main admin office to resolve any disagreements. When staff disagreements become heated, staff will be asked to exit the building through the main front entrance. Arrangements will be made for a conference with admin to ensure a safe and equitable resolution will be reached. When personnel resign or terminated, they will be asked to immediately leave through the main front door entrance and will not be let back in, to ensure safety and wellbeing of the children. We will have team building training within the next month.
Description: 2) Responsibilities: Reporter stated staff was observed hitting another staff in front of the children.
