Our mission is to provide young children, ages 2 ½ to 6, in southwest Oklahoma a place of joy and discovery through a Reggio-inspired, nature-based early childhood program. Scissortail Day School provides a safe environment for children to actively engage in creative, hands-on materials ─ a critical element of the exploration and learning process. Our carefully-selected materials help further develop each child’s full potential. We believe that a high-quality early education focusing on development of initiative, self-confidence, self-esteem, problem solving, creativity, independence and responsibility will build a strong foundation that prepares children for life-long learning, success and happiness.

Plan: In addition to the safety plan created on 8/23/24 we have added an additional staff not attached to a classroom while children are outside so they are able to take children to the bathroom, or make necessary inside runs. We have created a student lanyard system that goes in and out with the students so all students are accounted for while on the playground. The lanyard's have the students picture names, and classroom on them. |
