On a typical day, children would arrive at 8 or after. We would begin with free play and then at 9 we would have a group activity such as playing musical instruments and singing. Next would be a snack, such as fruit smoothies or celery & almond butter with raisins. Then we would have reading aloud to the group. Next we would go outside. We have a large yard set on 6 acres surrounding by woods and hay fields. Depending on the age of the children, we may play with outdoor toys and equipment, explore nature, go sliding or play a game. Lunch would be vegetables, whole grain products and protein. After lunch would be kid/baby yoga, inside or out depending on weather. Nap time would be next, followed by arts and crafts. A snack would be offered again, then free play until departure at 5.
