Description: 7am-8am breakfast/free play/brush teeth 8am-8:30am reading time(everyone picks out a book to be read to them). 8:30 music and movement 8:45 circle time where we discuss the name of day, date, month, season, weather, appropriate outside gear, nearest holiday, letter of the week, the "sight word fairy" works her magic turning letters into words. 9:10 or so free play/coloring.If Spring maybe plant flowers/veg. inside for later use in children's garden.Make seasonal projects. My philosophy is a multi-activity day of literacy based play. 9:30 wash up for snack, have snack 10:00 bathroom/diaper then outside(if inside - play-doh,puzzles,guessing games, tea party. I have a large well equipped fenced in outside playground. The children are directly supervised while outside. 11:00 come inside, free play, wash up for lunch 11:30 lunch 12:00 bathroom/diaper,brush teeth, have story(my choice) 12:30 pm NAP till 2:pm.Children under 2 will sleep in playpen/porta cribs while 2 years and older will nap in sleeping bags on carpeted floors in bedrooms. At 2:pm up,bathroom/diaper, wash up for snack 2:30pm snack 3:pm or so outside time till pick up if weather allows The older children (4yrs and older) who do not nap are read to again, play letter and number games, paint, practice fine motor, play act short stories, work on listening retention etc. I must qualify a question below - we do Christmas activities not necessarily religious but pertaining to the holiday which has now become less religious as time goes on.
