Findings: Complaint: CPS called to report that a female child fell on the monkey bars at the child care center and landed on her vagina, resulting in an injury. The mother of the child reports her child told her teacher about the injury and the teacher never followed up with her. The director states she was the one the child approached when the injury occurred and she mentioned the child was crying a bit while holding herself. When the director asked the child did her leg or vagina hurt based on her holding herself, the child said her leg hurt but then started playing as if she was okay. Staff members KH and LP said the child continued with her day as normal but none of the staff members looked at the child's leg to even see if her leg was injured or bruised. Specialist informed the staff if they would have visually checked her leg, they might have seen indicators of the injury to the child's vagina, referring to the underwear consisting of the dried up blood. Staff informed when a child sustains an injury, staff should visually check the area to ensure there is nothing significant, which could result in required medical treatment. See remarks section for allegations of the complaint.

Findings: Complaint: CPS called to report that a female child fell on the monkey bars at the child care center and landed on her vagina. The mother of the child stated no one notified her of the incident and that the injury resulted in the child needing surgery as a result. Specialist talked to teacher KH, aide LP and teacher WK about the incident and all three of them state the program's policy is to only notify parents of "the shoulder and up" injuries. Due to the policy in place, the injury was not reported at the time of the incident because the child only indicated her leg was hurt. As a result, the child's mother was not made aware of the incident until the child went into the bathroom while on site and her mother observed the stained blood in her underwear. Staff shall ensure if a child has an injury or accident while in attendance, to notify the child's parent within the same day about the injury or accident. See allegations of the complaint in the remarks section.

My daughter Justice goes here for daycare 5 days a week. They have the most caring staff. They really help teach the children everything that they need to know. I have recommended this daycare to alot of my friends for their children because they are so wonderful. The owner is wonderful as well. The staff will update the parents on the progress of their child. This daycare does anything to try and help in anyway that they can. Thank you to all of the staff and Miss Bonnie the owner for everything. I was one of them moms that didn't want to leave my child with anyone but family until I met everyone at Our Little Blessings they treat my daughter like she is their family. Thanks again for everything Nicole&Justice
