Description: The purpose of the NSCA Children’s Center is to prepare young children to excel in the school system with a solid knowledge of the Spanish and English language. The Center provides quality dual language early-childhood education to underserved low-income working families in the Norris Square community of northeast Philadelphia. A Head Start and 4 STARS Keystone STARS facility, the Children’s Center serves 250 pre-school age children. The Center provides a USDA Nutrition Program, health screening, access to preventative dental care and family literacy and parenting support. The Center also provides extended hours from 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., three family style hot meals every day, and flexible pay options (including subsidies).
