After being notified by DHS of possible mold in the classroom, we immediately closed the room and relocated children to a safe, alternate space. The ceiling tiles in question were removed and properly discarded. The entire classroom was thoroughly cleaned and inspected for any signs of dust, moisture, or other potential mold concerns. An air quality test was completed by a licensed professional, and the results were submitted to our licensing representative, Sara, at DHS. The classroom will remain closed until written approval is received confirming the space is safe for children and staff. |
