I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We started this daycare back in August. in the beginning, I was hesitant since I had stayed home with my kids for the past 5 years, but I decided to give it a shot after hearing great things about it. At first, I was so happy with the care for my son. I absolutely LOVE Miss Heather. She is a great teacher and has a big heart. She always checked in with me if anyone in my house was sick. My son had 2 teachers there, and he was also speech delayed (2 years old) In December, he could say a few words but not many. He was also in speech therapy. He came home and had a fingerprint on his bottom. When I asked him what happened, he told me his other teacher (not heather) spanked him. When brought to the directors attention, she basically tried to dismiss my concerns that the teacher loved kids with all her heart and would never hurt a kid. I tried to convince myself that maybe it wasn't a fingerprint, since heather was such a good teacher and I really did trust her.
Flash forward to a month after addressing the spanking concern, I get a notification from the director, and she tells me that my son and 3 other boys were outside in the grass and tackled a little girl and choked her. The field where they were is no where near where the teachers sit. My husband asked why there was no supervision, which of course, they said there was supervision. They told us they didn't know who caused it because no one saw it.
The next day, I had to go in and sign an incident report stating that my son would be removed from the program if he ever hit another student and that this was his "first and only warning." They told me that they questions all the 2-3 year olds and all said it was my son who started it. Even though he can barely talk at the time... (which means he couldn't defend himself) there's also no security to prove what happened.
Flash forward to this week, and I get a notification that my son hit another kid and was put in time out, but wasn't sitting in time out and was crawling all around. oh, and he was "flipping the teachers off" which my son has zero hand eye coordination at this age and has also never ever seen me or his father stick our middle fingers up.
She tells me that 5 minutes later he pinned a little boy down and hit him, and the little boy was crying "over and over" and sent pictures of marks on the little boy.
My first immediate thought was, if a teacher was in the room (which is a tiny room) 1. why didn't the teacher separate the students during free play to avoid a second incident from occurring. and 2. where was the supervision for a child to be "pinned down" and crying "over and over." I pay $155 per week for my child to be watched as well as other children, yet both incidents occurred because the staff failed to watch my child. As well as the fact that the directors daughter was the teacher of the class which seems real suspicious to me like she's trying to cover her daughters lack of attention to the children. We received a letter stating my son was being removed, and while that is completely okay with me, it is also very upsetting that they would much lies about an innocent child especially the flipping off. I have pictures/videos to prove that these allegations against MFWB daycare are true and that others have dealt with the same experiences. I would advise you to seek care elsewhere and pay the extra $40-60 per week on a DHR program.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son attended Madison Free Will Baptist Daycare since he was an infant. We loved the staff there and frequently recieved updates and pictures during the week of what he was doing. Last spring, the director of the daycare that had been there forever retired and a new director was hired. Shortly after that we began experiencing issues with my son's care. We stopped recieving much communication. I was in the office frequently to address my concerns with the director herself. Schedules were listed on the interenet that were not followed at all. New staff was constantly in and out to the point that I did not even know the names of people watching my son. Over the summer of 2017 she had her daughter and her friends "working" there. When asked what the qualifications of these kids were and if they were even CPR certified she replied that she did not know. Noah was frequently picked up during that time filthy. On one occassion, I walked in and one of these teens was "watching" a room full of kids (2-3 year olds). They were all parked 2 inches from a TV while she was accross the room on Facebook and never even heard me walk in. Another time, I walked in and a very small child was sleeping in the front room not being supervised at all as all room doors were closed and no adult was present. Starting Novemeber of last year, my child had multiple injuries, including burns, bruises and a black eye, that were unexplained and undocumented. The most recent was on Oct 2, 2017. When I picked my son up from the director herself, nothing was mentioned that occured during the day. On the way home he complained about his mouth hurting so I looked at it as we got out of the car. His tooth was completely recessed and cracked in three places! I dont know what time this injury took place and if he suffered all day with it as again no one seems to know how it happened. He had to have the tooth pulled and I withdrew him from daycare. After waiting 20 mins for his records, I was never asked if something happened, was he OK, why I was upset...nothing. The only thing I got was that I owed money for his tuition. Not a great attitude for someone that is supposed to care about these children she is entrusted with. Because my son is speech delayed due to epilepsy he is unable to say what exactly happened in any of these instances and her first response is always "well, what did he say happened?" Unfortunately because here churches are exempt from DHR there is a bit of a grey area in this circumstance, which I did not know. My son will now have years to deal with this situation and this lady is still caring for children, without even an apology. There are a few teachers that we will greatly miss there and I am hoping that no other child has to deal with this... it is an awful situation for the child and parent.
