Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The fire inspection dated 11/17/2023 was received on 12/22/2023 prior to today's visit.

Leftover medicines were not returned to the parent after the course of treatment was completed, after authorization was withdrawn or after authorization had expired and/or medication was not discarded within 72 hours of completion of treatment or withdrawal of authorization. One non-prescription topical ointment expired in 01/2024 but was not returned to the parent or discarded within 72 hours. The administrator removed the ointment from the classroom today and discarded it in the office area.

When three year old children and older were in care, the materials and equipment in the activity area was not in sufficient quantity to allow at least three children to use the area regardless of whether the children choose the same or different activities. In Space 5 serving children four and five years of age, the reading activity area did not have three types of literacy materials available to the children while they visited activity areas. During the visit, the director add alphabet puzzles and puppets to the reading area which corrected this violation today.

All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not stored in a locked room or cabinet. In Space 2 serving children one year of age, two aerosol cans containing air freshener were stored on an unlocked open shelf above five feet. During today's visit, the director tossed the two aerosol cans in the trash can and removed the trash bag from the classroom which corrected this violation today.

Parent's medication authorization did not include required information. In Space 3, ne (1) permission to administion an over the counter topical ointment was missing the amount of diaper cream to be administered.
