Welcome to KinderCare on Owen Drive! Our experienced teachers and staff look forward to providing your child an engaging and enriched learning experience. It is one of our goals to work in partnership with families to ensure that all children's specific needs are being met within our programs. Our classrooms feature a print-rich environment which will help your child connect spoken words and print, we’re helping develop early literacy and writing skills. We look forward to having you visit us and join us in laying down the foundation for your child's education. It is also goal of ours that every family feels at home in which every child feels loved, nurtured, and taken care of. We would love to invite you to spend some time with us by touring our center. Verification of staff completion of First Aid training from an approved training organization was not in the staff file. All staff completed First Aid Training on October 2023, however, five staff did not have a copy in their files during record review but were placed in their files and the violation was corrected during today's visit.

Breast milk, formula and other bottled beverages including sippy cups, sent from child's home were not fully prepared, dated, and labeled for the appropriate child. In space #6, an infant bottle and one sippy cup were not dated.

Equipment and furnishings were not sturdy, stable and free of hazards. Accessible to preschool children in space #4, the vinyl covering on a red child-sized sofa was torn, exposing foam and the wooden frame.

Plastic bags, materials that could be torn apart and toy parts small enough to be swallowed were accessible to children under three years of age. In space #2, plastic garbage bags and a bag of baby wipes were stored on the diapering changing surface. In space #3, plastic Ziploc bags of flashcards were stored on an open shelf accessible to children under three years of age.

Children were not adequately supervised at all times. Seven children were observed in the front lobby area playing with toys, unsupervised. Six children were sitting on the floor and one child was sitting at the table alone. A staff member that was in the kitchen answered the door, walked back into the kitchen, and two staff members that were in the office walked out of the office and down the hallway. The doorbell rang, the staff member that was in the kitchen answered the door, took an item from a parent, started to walk down the hallway, but then turned around gathered the children. One child was observed to have urinated in their clothes, which were soaked.
