I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the waitlist. My son was on the waitlist for over a year, however when he did get it I have ZERO complaints. Within the first week all staff knew my son by name, not even just his teachers. He’s gotten hurt 1x. (Which honestly surprises me, he’s accident prone) and I was immediately called and updated. He is a HANDFUL and a MESSY boy but they always be sure by the end of the day he’s clean and changed. The daycare always looks and smells clean. They provide all meals. And it is the ONE place that will watch my son my ENTIRE shift. I’m a nurse with an active duty husband he deploys often. My son is in daycare for my entire 12 hour shift, is fed all 3 meals, loved on and played with. He has learned many things in his 4 months so far. I LOVE the communication from the teachers and the affordability of the center. I HIGHLY recommend.
The director and codirector are not supportive of staff did not stand up for their staff. The director tries to treat staff members like children and like she is superior to everyone. I would not recommend working here to anyone.
First Adventures has a4 Star rating. The rooms and floors are all well maintained and cleaned on a daily bais. My grandson attends and lives all his teachers. The small student to teacher ratio allows for more individualized attention. Ms. Debbie and her staff go out of their way to get to know each of the children by name. We are very happy with the continuous and open communication between parents and staff.
My sister & her husband were looking for daycare for my 1 1/2 yr. niece. This was one of several daycares on their list to tour & evaluate to ensure their daughter was getting the best care available. As they did a walk through they noticed the floors were dirty, some of the younger children were dirty, the older children were pretty much watching themselves & overheard a group of the teachers gossiping about inappropriate things. Also that there were a couple of the teachers acting inappropriately toward her husband (flirting), one in particular! They were also told the same things mentioned in the comment above. After being told by another parent that the one teacher that was flirting with her husband has a reputation for being a homewrecker they decided it was not the right daycare facility for their daughter! Beware...just because it's associated with the hospital does not mean it is any different then any other daycare. They may have higher standards but unfortunately their employees demonstration made her think that values have no meaning! If you want your child happy & well taken care of and would like to keep your happy family KEEP AWAY from this daycare! You have been warned!
For those of you who have kids with sensitive skin...beware. The daycare uses the cheapest detergent on the market (This is from the managers mouth). Because of "funding" they have to buy whatever is within their budget. Myself and some other parents had to take home bibs, sheets, and blankets and wash them and bring them back. The floors in the rooms are very very dirty. If you have a young/older infant who is going to be on the floor a lot...beware. They may break out as well and their clothes will definitely get very dirty. If you have a child who is in the 4 yr old classroom...beware. There is an issue that is going on to where the children are wetting themselves more frequently (if your child didnt before...they may do it once in the class). One of the teachers pinches the kids to discipline them. One of the rooms only has the kids watch tv most of the day. So if you are one that doesnt allow your child to watch much tv...i would suggest not bringing them here. Not all of the teachers are bad...but overall the daycare is definitely no where close to what you pay for.
