Findings: OCC received a complaint that states the following: RS called to report a daycare worker was recorded rocking a child's crib instead of picking the child up when upset and crying. Child was not hurt but staff member was not handling a crying child as instructed by the child care. Screener asked if the child could have been hurt by the rocking motion and complainant said she was thinking of shaken baby syndrome and wanted to cover all bases. Screener recommended complainant contact licensing. RS said that they terminated the daycare worker and shared the video with the child's parents. Facility submitted incident report to the Office of Child Care on January 12, 2022 and informed office of teacher in question's termination.
