Description: The Northland Pines Early Childhood Program uses a collaborative approach to teaching children, ages 3-5 years old, who have been identified as having significant delay(s)s in their development. The goal is to provide children with early intervention services, through individual and small group instruction, in their least restrictive environment. Services may include, but are not limited to direct instruction, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Placement options are based upon individual needs, require an initial evaluation to determine eligibility, and may include one of the following:
1. Traditional Early Childhood Programming
2. Collaborative Early Childhood Programming with Community-based Program
3. Collaborative Early Childhood Programming with 4K.
4. Collaborative Early Childhood Programming with 5K
5. Itinerant services
We encourage families, service providers, and preschool and day care providers to contact the school district if there is a concern about a child’s development. We offer FREE developmental screenings which are used to assess progress toward developmental milestones, provide parents with awareness of child growth, and effectively communicate development concerns.
