Findings: At the time of the inspection, it was observed that the provider is in the process of installing an inground swimming pool. The pool has a plastic orange construction barrier aroud the perimeter of the pool; however, this barrier does not prevent accessibility to the pool. There is rain water covering the bottom of the pool. The provider's spouse stated he would immediately drain the water. It was discussed that this accessibility to their pool is an extreme hazard for children. It was explained that since the pool has standing rain water, this is a drowning hazard. It was also discussed, that even if there was no water in the pool a child could still fall into this concrete pool, and get injured. The provider stated she is not allowing the children to play in this area of the yard where the pool is being constructed. The provider's home is positioned on a large piece of property. This hazard needs to be corrected within 24 hours. The provider agreed to submit photographs of a barrier around the pool which needs to be created in a way that prevents accessibility. If photographs are not received, a follow-up visit may occur. See the remarks section for additional comments. | |||
