| Findings: Discipline and Behavior Concerns. There were concerns that this provider was withholding food from the children at lunch time, putting their feet on the children when they wouldn't fall asleep at nap time, and making them put their noses on a wall for time out. During the investigation, the health department interviewed the provider and determined that these concerns were substantiated. The provider explained to the investigator that she follows "old school" discipline & behavior management. The health department informed the provider that she must follow updated behavior & discipline guidelines and referred her to IdahoSTARS for support. Resolution: The health department performed a follow-up investigation and reviewed employee training records documenting that all staff received a discipline & behavior training. Provider agreed to follow proper discipline & behavior management guidelines. Law enforcement determined no criminal charges will be pursued a this time. | |||
