Findings: Supervision Concerns, General Health & Safety Concerns. There were concerns that staff members were allowed to work without a background check or CPR/FA clearances. This was confirmed when the health department observed three staff members who were unable to provide background checks and three staff members who did not have current CPR/FA clearances. There were also concerns about teachers being aggressive at nap time but was unable to be substantiated during the investigation. Resolution: The Department of Health & Welfare gave this provider 5 days to submit a valid state daycare license application and ensure all staff had proper clearances to be working on the premise. The health department performed a follow-up investigation after the 5-day grace period ended and was able to verify that an application was submitted. Employees without background checks are not permitted to work until completed. No further concerns noted at the follow-up investigation.
