I have used this provider for less than 6 months
The owner and her daughter were extremely rude and unprofessional. I can't say enough, but I am glad they are out of business. They never sent me their ein or tax information. I don't know how to chase it down so am posting to request help locating owner so I can get my tax material from them or at least their ein. Thank you.
I had my kids going there for almost 10 years and yes Mrs Berry (the owner) was a little harsh at times but most of the time it was for safety and I would one thousand percent recommend my kids grew up to be so smart and well behaved a I would owe alot of that to her
I'll give you the quick pros and cons of this place and then I will elaborate more if you want more detail. Pros: Clean My kids learned a lot The teachers in the baby room and toddler room are great. Cons: -The owner Mrs. Berry can come off as aggressive and loves to threaten to sue over everything. -They don't like criticism and will cut you off if you try to get more information about something that is bothering you. -They shame kids for having accidents. To the point where they get scared and cry if they do wet their pants. -They refused to feed my children breakfast because they "didn't have time". -The playground never gets used because they are too lazy to go outside with them. -The owners daughter is always in competition with everyone even the kids. When the kids have to follow rules or have time outs, her son gets to walk around and do what he wants. He eats and drinks whatever and whenever he wants while your kid can only have water (if they have time to let your kid have a drink) and eat during schedule snacked time. -They wont help your child wipe their butt if they are potty trained. -Lunch time consists of Mrs. Truskowski threatening to take their lunch away if they don't "shut up". -If your kid needs to go to the hospital because they neglected to take care of you child properly, they will still charge you for that day and won't offer to pay any compensation for injuring your child. Okay now I will go in more detail. I have to say, the teachers in the younger classes have always been amazing. Mrs. Vega, in the toddler room, is the sweetest and most patient women I have ever met. Mrs. shiffer, Mrs. Sanchez and Ms. Kohlm, in the baby room are so sweet with the little ones and simply love them all. My issues are in the Bright Beginner class and up. I have walked in on several occasions to hear Mrs. Truskowski (the owners daughter) telling kids to shut up and get away from her. If you fill out a form for them to apply ointment or give your child medication at certain times, they most likely won't do it. Your children have to show up to school dressed and ready to go while Mrs. Truskowski's son can come in pajamas and eat breakfast later. I tried bringing some breakfast items in so my child could eat breakfast there and they handed them back to me saying they didn't have time to do that for us. I mean are you kidding me, you don't have time to give my child the most basic need. It was oatmeal that literally took 1minute to cute. Almost every day that I picked my kids up, they were extremely thirsty. My son would chug an entire bottle of water every day that I picked them up. The playground is never used, so these kids are stuck in this building being yelled at all day long with no out door time. If you don't want to give them permission to take your kid on field trips, make sure you tell them to their face. That contract you sign when you enroll your kid only applies when they want to charge you for something ridiculous. Overall, I have to say I should have gotten my kids out of there sooner. My kids hated it there. They would start to cry and shake if Mrs. Truskowski would simply say their name. She is so fake and pretends to be nice but you can see right through it. If you call them out on anything, they will most likely tell you you are wrong or threaten to kick you out because they can fill your spot the moment you walk out the door. They treat their employees like crap and most of them have a record. There are better daycares out there. Don't let the nice appearance of this one trick you into thinking they actually care about your kids.
I am deeply saddened to write this terrible review as I have never had any problems with this school but here are the facts: I went out of town and post dated a check for the following month so that my finances would be covered. I get a call 5 days before the end of the month saying that my check bounced. Requesting that they allowed me to push it back for 5 more days until I got paid, being that I was a single mother of 3, I was hit with constant insults of being told I was broke and saying that I shouldn't have spent all of my money. In the end, I managed to pay my balance that same day but I wanted to speak with both the owner, Mrs. Berry, and the secretary, Mrs. Smith, about their unprofessionalism towards me when I have never had a check bounce prior to that. I apologized to Mrs. Berry for any inconveniences that were caused but told her I didn't like the way they felt the need to say inappropriate things to me. While Mrs. Berry unknowingly admitted they processed my check very late in the month (without calling me to apologize for their lateness and to see if funds were still available), she argued me down and eventually told me to "get out of her establishment!" Although she clearly kicked me out of the school, she expected me to pay her for another 2 weeks because the school has a 2 week policy to let them know before we were leaving. I told her this didn't apply to me as I had been terminated. I let my supervision know what was going on with this school and that I had no intent on paying them any further and they wholeheartedly agreed with me saying they had heard a lot of other negative reviews on the school. I have a high bar for professionalism involved in business ethics. I have never been talked to or treated the way that this school found necessary to treat me for a first offense situation. I thought it was highly unprofessional and I do not care to conduct anymore business with them or refer anyone to them.

The staff at A Bright Beginning truly care about the kids they are working with and encourage them to be the best they can be.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
