I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Does not treat families receiving assistance from DSS fairly. The owner/director is biased and prefers her cash payers. Untrained staff. Kicks children out who have behavior issues, unless they are cash pay, then that's fine

Child care providers and uncompensated providers who are not substitute providers or volunteers, including the director did not have a medical report on file prior to employment that was signed by a health care professional and/ or the medical report was older than 12 months. One staff member with a first day of employment of June 2, 2023, had a medical statement on file, however the health assessment did not state whether the staff member is emotionally and physically fit to care for children.

All staff did not successfully complete certification in First Aid appropriate to the age of children in care. Verification of staff completion of First Aid training from an approved training organization was not in the staff file. One staff member with the first day of employment of June 2, 2023, had a Basic Life Skills card from American Heart Association. Basic Life Skills does not meet the requirements for Adult and Pediatric First Aid.

The Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma policy was not reviewed with new staff prior to providing care with children and/or a signed acknowledgement with all the required information was not maintained in the staff person's file. Two (2) new staff members did not have the policy on file prior to working with children. One with a hire date of November 29, 2022 had documentation of the policy dated December 1, 2022, and one staff member with the hire date of May, 1, 2023, had documentation of the policy dated May 2, 2023.

The child care administrator and all staff did not complete the Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment training within 90 days of employment. One staff member with a hire date of October 20, 2022 had documentation of the training dated December 18, 2019, however this training was completed more than twelve months prior the hire date. Another staff member with the hire date of May 25, 2023, had documentation of the training dated December 20, 2019, however this training was completed more than twelve months prior the hire date.
