As a former teacher at this center . I will say the director and asst. director do Not and I mean do Not communicate well with their employees at if and when they do they let some of them than others get away with more than they should. Also kids are all over the place do what they want and don’t listen or they tell things that don’t happen so things get twisted. For example a child stratched herself and was wrote up and showed to the director and she said ok well found out the incident report was lost and never got to the mother I lost a day pay cus the child lied said I did it that I left her mark on her when I never did also they didn’t believe me so I left so I could get my full paycheck because they said they wasn’t going to pay me . I heard that they lost a lot of children and also we never got raises they said we would but it was all talk.

Plan: Staff have been retrained on active supervision, safe transitions, and accountability procedures when moving children from one area to another. Teachers will conduct a name to face count every 15 minutes while children are on the playground and document the count on the classroom attendance log. During all transitions to and from the playground, teachers will complete two separate name to face checks using the classroom tablet/attendance system and a name to face count using the classrooms paper attendance log. A member of management will conduct an additional name to face verification before children leave the playground and again upon arrival in the classroom. Management staff will oversee playground to classroom transitions and ensure each child is accounted for and placed in the correct classroom before the transition is considered complete. Attendance records will be reviewed throughout the day to ensure children are accurately tracked and accounted for at all times. The director will monitor compliance with these procedures throughout ongoing observations, attendance reviews and staff coaching to ensure children remain under direct supervision at all times.
