If I can give this place 0 stars I would. Teachers and administration are very poor. Teachers are standoffish and do not try to engage with new parents. Took my child out almost immediately. Stay away.
I am so beyond thrilled with Small World. My daughter started Pre School in another setting and it did not work for her. Transferring here in midstream has been an easy transition. The director is phenomenal and her teacher, Mrs. Mansfield is so warm and wonderful. I have been nothing but welcomed here and am so happy for my daughter to be in a happy learning environment. They are very concerned with her well being and adjusting to her new settings.
I had my child attend for 2 years. Pros clean, kids have fun, safe, teachers provide fun shows activities. Cons :(;teachers make very little eye contact with parents unless they know you. Cliquey moms and teachers who know one another greet each other and are warm. However if you are not known in the circle you will know it. A lot of moms shared this with other moms. If you say hi to the In moms they ignore you, just observe one day during drop off and pick up. One teacher when my son had layers on, it wasnt his coat, as i dropped off she said to him come on come on take this off take this off taking off his outer layer. Another time a girl walked in i saw the girl say hi to the teacher and was ignored the mom looked at me as my son went in as if to say my God how rude. It feels like mean girls high school. One aid who was older was very very nice warm kind to all. If you run into some of the moms that are in the medford click circle and give a nice hello they look at you like they are snobs. If your kid plays with kids and you try to arrange a playdate good luck. One mom thought it was her when she was ignored. She was from Marlton and i told her dont take it personal. Medford is not warm to outsiders to begin with, no matter how rich you are. They need to Personally Know you. Most seem to have trust issues. So to sum up you will drop off pick up but not feel you are a part of the community. However i felt my child was safe there.b
