Emanuel's Lutheran Day School

This day-school used to be great, now I wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last care center in town. Notice how the last good reviews are from about 3 years ago? There is a reason for that. If you are a parent looking to place your child in a church "affiliated" day care center/school, keep looking as this is not the one.

Most, if not all of the issues with this place stem from the director of the school itself, who has single handedly run off every good teacher/caregiver as well as parents. If you enjoy being belittled, lack of proper communication, and dealing with a business that partakes in shady business practices (such as collecting your money for the month and then randomly deciding to close for a week to "remodel" without offering a refund on the week closed, and furthermore becoming hostile when asked for a refund for said week), Then this place is the right place for you.

If these issues do NOT sound enjoyable then you should most likely avoid this place at all costs. All the staff and church values that made this place great years ago are now gone. The ONLY thing that is cared about is your money.

It's a shame that this school is affiliated with the Lutheran Church as it does nothing to help the church's name. We've been waiting to drop this review for a while and have only held out due to the fear that our child would be retaliated against if it was posted while they were still in attendance. The only reason we didn't pull our child out was the teachers and other staff, as they were great.

I would give less than 1 star if possible. There is zero adult supervision, the teachers act as if they are doing you a favor by watching your child and the director is rude, unprofessional and apparently does not understand any state laws. I am glad my child was pulled from this center by me and my spouse, I would recommend never allowing these people to take care of your child.

Do NOT take your child here..unless you want your kid to get treated like they are stupid, they won't be supervised most of the time, and they won't learn anything! This place is all show for parents and the minute they leave all he** breaks loose! They talk ugly to kids and the directors are horrible nasty people.
