Description: The mission of the Parsons Preschool is to provide a warm, caring, and stimulating early childhood environment that is safe and nurturing. It is a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. The school fosters self-esteem and builds confidence based on self-respect and respect for all others. We follow the “Golden Rule.” We have created a loving, trustful, and respectful environment which enables children to love, trust and respect their parents, teachers, each other, and especially themselves. We believe in the value of human diversity and the fair treatment of all people and the earth. Students and their families feel comfortable and welcomed at all times. We view the parents as partners in the education of their children and integrate them into our curriculum, as well as integrating into our community and becoming part of it.
Our staff is professional and knowledgeable about childhood development and early childhood education. We work collaboratively with our staff, parents, and the entire community to guide our students in their learning process. We have high expectations that are guided by the developmental needs of each child, with an understanding that many of our children have needs beyond that of learning essential skills; their needs are personal, pervasive, and affect them at every level of humanity. We follow standard pre-school curriculum guidelines and the New York State Common Core project. We focus on the whole child with developmentally appropriate quality education developed to meet the needs of each child. The Parsons Preschool maintains a progressive curriculum promoting learning the tools necessary to succeed in school and in life. We encourage and develop them physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually while being part of a whole community. The goal is for students to enter Kindergarten with the necessary skills to succeed and promote lifelong learning. Our goal is to give each child the opportunity to succeed.

My children have been fortunate to be cared for at Parsons preschool since infancy. They love their teachers and enjoy many extra activities. Parsons Preschool has been so reassuring to know that, while I’m at work, my children are in a safe environment, at a great facility, with wonderful caregivers and teachers who give them love.
This school is only interested in the money they can obtain off of your children. My child was there in their program with a IEP that they continuously dumbed down just to keep their smaller class full.. The staff constantly quits abruptly, no two weeks notice ever... My child did not learn anything from them, nor did they potty train, they acted as if he couldn't be potty trained.. Dad got angry and was able to fully potty train him in two weeks and still no accidents at night. The children also miss alot of the therapy because the staff is always randomly quitting, they don't inform you until you notice, then they promise to make up weeks of missed service... My child came home with his face swelled like an alien one day, they claimed they think he might of hit his face on the bench, they never contacted me, they said they let him go inside and sleep it off, what??? Who does this??? All honestly, if your child has delays stay far away from this school, save your child's life and let them have a fair chance to learn, this school will only make things worse.
